We often pride ourselves on being able to read the weather, the economy, or the news. Yet Jesus said to the crowds, “You know how to interpret the appearance of earth and sky, but why do you not know how to interpret the present time?” (Luke 12:56 ESV).

In this message from the series on Luke 12 on stewardship at Celebration Church Netherlands, I give a reminder that wisdom is not just about knowledge — it’s about discernment. Jesus calls us to recognize God’s decisive moment (kairos), to reconcile before judgment comes, and to live ready for the return of the King.

Today the signs are all around us:

  • The restoration of Israel and the unity of Jew and Gentile in Messiah.
  • The gospel reaching the nations.
  • The shaking and purification of the Church.

True stewardship means acting with foresight — responding to what God is doing before the window of mercy closes.
Are you discerning the times in your personal life, your church, and the world around you?
