Often in our western theological we make a big deal of God’s sovereignty, also in relation to the timing of Jesus’ return. But could it be that God, in his sovereignty, chose us to take some roadblocks out of the way? Could it be that it is in our hands to prepare the way for the Lord?
2 Peter 3 indicates that very point! We as believers have a big role to play in the timing of Jesus’ return. We do not only “wait” in eager anticipation for the King, but we “hasten” his return.
